London’s Pride has had a successful stint of over 6 years of successful trading of tourist gifts, souvenirs and other licensed themed products at various locations around UK such as London, Edinburgh, York, Liverpool and Stratford upon Avon successfully running 13 outlets at present. Understanding and realization of the scope was the key to our success. We have traveled across UK to study the scope of the tourism industry as a whole. After having spent more than enough time traveling and researching, the facts we found out were surprising and inspiring at the same time.

Finding suitable locations at the most tourist populated cities in the country was the next challenge ahead. After having successfully acquired suitable locations, we had to come in terms with sourcing and supply of the best quality products to each location. Apparently, we ended up designing and developing own products to sell at our specialized gifts shops. We have also collaborated with local gift manufacturers and importers.

Since 2010 tourism has been the fastest growing sector in the UK in employment terms. The sector is predicted to grow at an annual rate of 3.8% through to 2025 – significantly faster than the overall UK economy (with a predicted annual rate of 3% per annum) and much faster than sectors such as manufacturing, construction and retail. Britain will have a tourism industry worth over £257 billion by 2025 – just under 10% of UK GDP and supporting almost 3.8 million jobs, which is around 11% of the total UK number.

The concept behind this was predominantly based on the popular franchise and global phenomenon, ‘Harry Potter’ and other influential franchises such as Game of thrones and Lord of the Rings. All aspects of the store starting from the strategy, interior design and even to the minutest details such as the inhouse music played over. House of Spells became one of the London’s tourist attraction within a short span of time since opened its doors to public in July 2019.
